9. 40 points - 2015 Western Conference First Round vs. New Orleans Pelicans

In 2015, Curry and the Warriors were still making their way up the NBA hierarchy. Their team was coming together nicely and they had a man who would go on to become one of the best players of all time. After finishing top of the Western Conference in 2015 with 67 wins, the Warriors welcomed the New Orleans Pelicans, led by Anthony Davis, in the first round.

The Warriors took a 2-0 series lead but were faced by a hostile crowd in Game 3. The Pelicans had a 20-point lead at some point, but Curry hit some clutch shots in the fourth quarter and overtime to seal the win. He finished with 40 points, 9 assists, and 7 three-pointers, per USA Today.

8. 44 points - 2013 Western Conference semi-finals vs. San Antonio Spurs

Curry was just finding his groove in 2013. He dropped 44 points, 11 assists, and 6 three-pointers, but the Warriors lost to eventual NBA finalists, the San Antonio Spurs. This game was just a glimpse of what was to come from Curry.

7. 40 points - 2015 Western Conference finals Game 3 vs. Houston Rockets

Curry and the Warriors were already a juggernaut in 2015. They easily dispatched the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference en route to their first title in the Curry era.

Against the Rockets, he dropped 40 points, 7 assists, and 7 three-pointers as they won the series 4-1. Curry was dominant in the blowout 115-80 win; he scored 37 of his 40 points in three quarters.

6. 36 points - 2016 Western Conference finals Game 7 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

The Warriors took basketball magic to another level in 2016. They won 73 games and faced Kevin Durant’s Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference finals.

The series had plenty of storylines, including the birth of ‘Game 6 Klay’. In Game 7, Curry carried the Warriors to their second straight NBA Finals appearance scoring a game-high 36 points (13-24 FGs) and dishing out eight assists to complete a 3-1 comeback. The Warriors would find out in the finals that basketball magic has its limits.

5. 34 points - 2022 NBA Finals Game 6 vs. Boston Celtics

Curry silenced all the doubters in the 2022 NBA Finals. He stopped the Boston Celtics from going 3-1 up by scoring 43 points and also had a great elimination Game 6.

His demeanor and celebration meant he was feeling it and it was only a matter of time before they sealed the title. He scored 34 points in the decisive Game 6 of the 2022 NBA Finals, sealing the Finals MVP award that had eluded him, per USA Today.

4. 47 points - 2019 NBA Finals Game 3 vs. Toronto Raptors

The Warriors had conquered the NBA for two straight seasons, dominating every series they were in. However, in the 2019 NBA Finals, injuries to Durant and Klay Thompson saw them relinquish the title they won in 2018.

The series was tied 1-1 ahead of Game 3 at Oracle Arena and in Game 3, Curry had to do it all by himself. He scored 47 points in 43 minutes of action to go along with seven assists and eight rebounds, per NBC Sports. The Toronto Raptors went on to win the game and the series in six games.

3. 33 points - 2019 Western Conference semifinals, Game 6 vs. Houston Rockets

Curry and the Warriors headed to Houston without the injured Durant for Game 6. Curry went 0-for-5 from the field in the first half, failing to register a point. However, he was a different player in the second half, scoring 33 points, including 23 in the fourth quarter to seal another NBA Finals appearance, per ESPN.

2. 43 points - 2022 NBA Finals Game 4 vs. Boston Celtics

The 35-year-old produced an epic display in last season’s NBA Finals. He scored 43 points to stop the Celtics from taking a commanding 3-1 lead, per the Athletic. After that game, the Warriors did not look back. They went on to win the next two games, clinching the title in the process.

1. 50 points - 2023 Western Conference Round 1 Game 7 vs. Sacramento Kings

The two-time MVP had his best playoff game in a do-or-die scenario against the Kings. The Warriors had a chance to close the series in Game 6, but a lackluster performance saw the Kings crush them.

However, the Warriors’ championship DNA was on full display in Game 7. Curry dropped 50, the most he’s ever had in a playoff game. It was also the most points any player has ever scored in a Game 7.

Curry and Thompson's Game 6 reaction

Sports Brief earlier reported on Curry and Thompson reacting to an embarrassing defeat to the Kings.

The Warriors superstar said the team had prepared well for the closeout game but had mental errors.

Thompson said the team would respond like champions and they did with a dominant Game 7 effort.
