Ja Morant's ferocious dunk stole the show in the NBA on Saturday night as the Memphis Grizzlies extended their winning streak in the NBA to nine games by beating the Indiana Pacers 130-112.

The 23-year-old All-Star had 23 points, and 10 assists and given they were thrashing the Pacers out, he wasn't needed in the fourth quarter. Desmond Bane scored 25 points. Morant has now averaged 28.7 points during Memphis' impressive winning streak.

The game was close early in the second quarter but the Grizzlies outscored the Pacers 27-11 to take a commanding 68-52 lead at halftime, per ESPN.

Morant outstanding dunk

In the third quarter, the Grizzlies were leading by 18 points. Morant split a double-team on the perimeter, drove towards the basket and threw down a thunderous dunk over Jalen Smith, per SI.

To put it into context, Morant is a 6-foot-3 guard while Smith is a 6-10 forward. He said he was happy after finally dunking after missing several in the past. He called his the best of his career.

"Yeah, easy. It's what everybody has been waiting for. I finally made it.''

The Pacers were missing two players, Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner and have now lost three in a row. The Grizzlies play the Phoenix Suns and Cleveland Cavaliers in their next two games.

Ja Morant's heartwarming gesture

Sports Brief earlier reported on Morant making a Grizzlies young fan day by giving her his autographed game-worn jersey and unreleased sneakers.

An autographed basketball owned by an 11-year-old fan, Ellie Hughes had been stolen, and Morant made sure the young fan went home happy after the miserable events of the last few days. He then reached out to her and her family.

After the game, the star gave away his game-worn jersey and signed Ja 1 Nike sneakers, which will publicly be released later this year.
