Even when the Lakers lost, James always turned up. His 28.5 points per game this season is evidence of his incredible winning mentality.

He missed the playoff last season and vowed to never miss out again but the Lakers' poor season could see them miss out again, a scenario which will be a slight dent in his glittering career.

Durant's reaction to James performance

After the game, the Nets' superstar sent out a Tweet reacting to this dominant 47-point performance for James. This incredible display was on James' 38th birthday.

"Masterful 47 I just watched, Lebron James. Masterful…GGz."

James is 1-2 vs Durant in the NBA Finals, but the two stars will go down as some of the greatest basketball players of all time, per SI.

The Lakers still have a tough run in their next few games and without Anthony Davis, things may get worse before they get better, per CBS Sports.

Tatum on James display

Sports Brief earlier reported on Jayson Tatum reacting to James' superb performance against the Hawks.

The Boston Celtics superstar said it is incredible that James will become the sole owner of the record of the most points scored in NBA history.

"Sitting here watching the lakers play…. Sometime later this season Bron gone be able to say he’s scored more points than anyone to ever play this game… lol that’s wild"
