  • Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout combined for three home runs on Wednesday
  • Taylor Ward and Chad Wallach also homered for the Angels in the win against Chicago
  • The homers helped Angels starting pitcher Jaime Barria notch his second win

Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout homered in the same game for the 27th time since they became teammates, leading the Los Angeles Angels to an impressive 12-5 win over the Chicago White Sox on Wednesday.

Trout got the party started, hitting a two-run homer in the top of the first inning to give LA a 2-0 lead.

The three-time MVP displayed his power, hitting the ball to left-center field for his 13th homer of the season.

Trout obliterated Lance Lynn’s 1-2 slider, hitting it 110.8 mph off the bat and sending the ball 461 feet.

Ohtani homers twice vs Chicago

Ohtani didn’t want to be outdone, launching a pair of homers in back-to-back innings.

The Japanese superstar drove Lynn’s four-seamer out to center field in the top of the third inning for his first home run of the day.

He crushed Lynn’s first pitch in the at-bat, hitting a 425-foot blast with an exit velocity of 107.0 mph, per MLB.com.

Ohtani’s second homer was even better, crushing a 459-foot dinger in the top of the fourth inning.

He hit Lynn’s 3-2 fastball 111.8 mph off the bat and over the right field wall to give the Angels a commanding 8-1 lead.

Good things happen to the Angels when both Trout and Ohtani hit a home run in the same contest. The Angels are 5-0 this season when their MVP duo homer in the same game.

Taylor Ward and Chad Wallach also homered for the Angels, who improved to 30-27, per ESPN.

Jaime Barria gladly welcomed that offensive support as he won for the second time this season.

Aaron Judge continues to rake

Sports Brief recently reported on the Yankees’ win over the Mariners.

Aaron Judge starred in the Bronx Bombers’ 10-2 victory on Tuesday, hitting his 18th homer of the season.

Anthony Volpe and Greg Allen also blasted home runs for the Yankees, who extended their winning streak to four games.
