Tottenham managed a 2-1 win over Fulham in the English Premier League on Saturday to claim three precious points.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg opened the scoring for Spurs in the 40th minute after he was set up by Richarlison, as the hosts went ahead before the break.

Harry Kane then doubled the lead in the 75th minute as his goal was confirmed by VAR after there were protests that he was offside, while Aleksandar Mitrovic pulled one back for the visitors as it ended 2-1.

However, Antonio Conte’s men had to fight for the three points as the Cottagers almost opened the scoring in the 4th minute when Bobby De Cordova-Reid almost got in behind the Spurs defence, but Sessegnon quickly caught him up and won possession.

Tottenham came close in the 22nd minute as Richarlison did well to beat Adarabioyo on the left wing and crossed for Son, who fired the first time as the goalkeeper punched it into a corner.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 40th minute as 40 Hojbjerg grabbed his first goal of the season from a lovely move involving four players.

Son almost extended the lead for Tottenham in the 64th minute after his side stole possession deep inside the Fulham half before working the ball to Son on the left, but the deflected shot went wide.

In the 75th minute, Sessegnon squared for Harry Kane to tap in at the back post, and after the VAR check, the goal was validated to make it 2-0.

Eight minutes later, Mitrovic scored a stunner as the Serbian forward unleashed a curling effort beyond Lloris's desperate dive. It ended; Tottenham 2-1 Fulham.
