  • Enyimba goalkeeper John Noble was among the Super Eagles players who went for the 2021 AFCON
  • Noble has now stated emphatically that the Nigerian football chiefs have not paid him his allowance
  • The experienced goalkeeper also rubbished speculation that he submitted a wrong dollar account

Super Eagles goalkeeper John Noble has cried out claiming that the Nigerian Football Federation have not paid him $25,000 allowance for the last African Cup of Nations.

There have been reports that the Enyimba goalkeeper submitted wrong account number which has prevented him from being paid by those in charge of the NFF Finance.

Noble was said to have submitted wrong dollar account which made it difficult for him to get alert for his wages as he was with the Super Eagles in Cameroon for the 2021 AFCON.

Statement made by Noble

"I have never submitted a wrong account number. This is the same account where I got my AFCON 2021 camp allowances through the secretary.
“Suddenly, it has become a wrong account when it got to the time of getting the big one. My bank is even tired of me because I go there every day.
“Right now, I feel emotionally drained knowing well that this money will solve many problems.”

As it stands, Noble might not be invited for the Super Eagles coming African Cup of Nations qualifiers as he is currently not the number one choice at Enyimba as Leke Ojo is.

Finidi nominated for NPFL award

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Super Eagles legend Finidi George was named among the nominees by League Bloggers for the Best Manager award for the month of February following impressive outings.

Goerge who is the gaffer of Enyimba had brilliant games together with his wards last month beating Gombe United, El-Kanemi Warriors and Shooting Stars of Ibadan.

The Nigerian League is currently on break due to the 2023 general elections as George and his players finished the first stanza of the abridged league on second position in Group A.
