Who are the other nominees?

According to the report on Daily Post, Iheanacho will battle Marcus Rashford, Fulham goalkeeper, Bernd Leno and Tottenham Hotspur defender for the award.

What they are saying

Sports Brief spoke with Super Eagles administrator Dayor Enebi who expressed happiness about Iheanacho's form in the month of February.

Statement made by Enebi

''It is a good thing to see one of our players doing fine at his club because that has always been our prayers for all of them.
''Kelechi did well last month even though they have crashed out of the FA Cup, but believe strongly that he can win the award.''

Kelechi Iheanacho Unhappy

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Kelechi Iheanacho expressed unhappiness over his club's exit in the English FA Cup after losing at home against Blackburn Rovers in the fifth round of the competition.

The Nigerian international scored a goal for his side, but it was not enough against Rovers, despite playing infront of their supporters at the King Power Stadium.

Going into this game, Rodgers and his team were the clear favourites to win the encounter, but they met a more determined opponent who sent them out of the championship.

Surprisingly, Rovers took a two-goal lead against the Foxes before Iheanacho reduced the deficit, but his side were unable to get another goal.
