Former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor has shared awesome photos of himself and the likes of Jay-Jay Okocha, Fadiga featuring in a star studded charity football match.

The former Togo international was spotted in joyous momentum on the pitch while posing for photos with other African football legends.

Since Adebayor retired from the national team, the Togolese has been involved in many charity games and also playing football on the streets with friends.

According to the photo the ex-Man City star shared on his Instagram page, Adebayor was seen holding the ball before the start of the encounter.

How it started for Adebayor

Born in Lome to parents of Yoruba ethnicity, Adebayor spent most of his youth in Togo, where he attended the Centre de Développement Sportif de Lome.

Adebayor started his career in the Premier League with Arsenal in 2006 where he featured in 104 games netting 46 goals before he left in 2009 for Manchester City.

Speaking to Sports Brief about Adebayor, legendary Nigerian coach, Kadiri Ikhana claimed that the Togolese is like his son and they speak often.

''Adebayor is close to me and one thing I was not happy for was the fact that he did not play for Nigeria, but generally, I am happy about his career in football.''

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Emmanuel Adebayor seems to have smoked the peace pipe with his family after spending time with them at a beach resort in Lomé, Togo.

The former Arsenal and Manchester City player is loving life after a successful football career, which is yet to officially come to an end.

Adebayor is yet to announce his retirement after last signing for Togolese club, Semassi.
