Nigerians have expressed their disappointment over the performance of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho during the international friendly encounter against Algeria on Tuesday night, 27 September.
Despite coach Jose Peseiro promising Nigerians that his wards would win the battle in Oran hours before kickoff, the Super Eagles were unable to soar against their opponents.
Players of the Super Eagles started the tie impressively, with the likes of Moses Simon and Moffi firing on all cylinders up front against the Algerians.
The breakthrough eventually came for the Super Eagles in the 9th minute when Terem Moffi opened scoring, which made Nigerian football fans happy.

After conceding against the Super Eagles, Algerian players changed their style of play on the pitch and it paid off before the end of the first half, as Riyad Mahrez restored parity for them.

Youcef Atal scored a brilliant goal in the 61st minute in which goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was beaten nicely.
That goal from Youcef Atal ended up giving Algeria the win and Nigerians have blamed Francis Uzoho for failure block the shot.

Obi is retiring as a hero at the age of 35 with laurels won for both clubs and country. He was among the Super Eagles players who won the 2013 African Cup of Nations in South Africa.
Obi played 91 games for the Super Eagles, netting six goals before he quit international football in 2019.
