Welsh Football Club Cardiff City Announce Signing of Impressive Super Eagles Defender

Nigerian international Jamilu Collins has officially joined Welsh outfit Cardiff City as the club made the huge announcement on Friday, May 20.

The left-back becomes the fourth signing for the club ahead of next season as the 27-year-old joins on a two-year deal.

Collins leaves German side SC Paderborn 07, where he has been impressive in recent times attracting interest from a number of top clubs.

An official statement by Cardiff City says:

“The Bluebirds are delighted to confirm the signing of Nigerian international Jamilu Collins on a two-year deal commencing from July 1st, subject to clearance.
“The 27-year-old arrives in the Welsh capital from German side SC Paderborn 07, having made 137 appearances for the 2. Bundesliga outfit since September 2017.”

GOAL reports that the Super Eagles defender is also elated over the deal as he explained that he could not resist the offer that was presented to him.

“I’m really excited to be in Cardiff, and I can’t wait to get started."

Iwobi helps Everton escape relegation

Meanwhile, Everton fans stormed the pitch at the Goodison Park following a historic night which saw them come from two goals down to defeat Crystal Palace.

Nigerian international Alex Iwobi was in the thick of the action as the Toffees escaped relegation, but they had to do it the hard way.

Jean Mateta and Jordan Ayew gave the visitors a 2-0 lead at halftime, which meant Everton could be relegated should they lose their final match at Arsenal on Sunday.

Moses Simon reacts after winning Coupe de France

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian international Moses Simon was in action for 73 minutes helping his Nantes side to a 1-0 win over Nice as they emerged this season’s Coupe de France champions.

The ex-Gent winger helped his side to another title and has taken to social media to reveal the secret behind his success for this campaign.

Simon has been phenomenal for the French club this season, where he found the back of the net six times and also made eight assists.
