The Super Eagles camp is coming alive following the arrival of five players ahead of the crucial World Cup play-offs against Ghana on Friday, March 25.

William Troost-Ekong alongside Leon Balogun, Frank Onyeka, Semi Ajayi, and Ola Aina were the first players to hit the Super Eagles camp in Abuja on Monday, March 21.

The players' arrival was confirmed in a tweet by the official handle of the Super Eagles.

According to a report via Complete Sports, the Super Eagles are camped at the Well Carlton Hotel and Apartments in Asokoro, Abuja.

More players are still expected to hit the Super Eagles camp as preparations continue for the World Cup qualifiers against the Black Stars.

Coach Augustine Eguavoen had listed a 32-man shortlist for the double-legged fixture against Ghana to determine one of Africa's five representatives at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Former Nigeria International picks team to qualify for World Cup

Meanwhile, Yakubu Aiyegbeni has tipped the Super Eagles to qualify to the 2022 FIFA World Cup ahead of arch-rivals Ghana.

The Daily Post reports the former Nigeria International revealed it will be a big deal if either Ghana or Nigeria fails to qualify for the biggest football competition in the world.

Nigeria will travel to Ghana to face the Black Stars in the first leg of the qualifying playoff billed for March 25th while the second leg comes up in Abuja on March 29th.

Super Eagles to lodge in a three-star hotel in Kumasi

Earlier, Sports Brief reported the Super Eagles would lodge at the three-star Noda Hotel in Kumasi after their crucial World Cup play-offs against Ghana was moved from the Cape Coast stadium in Accra.

The Black Stars are set to host Nigeria on Friday, March 25 at the Baba Yara Stadium, following CAF's decision to move the game from the Cape Coast stadium due to its poor pitch.

Aisha Falode, a member of the Nigerian Football Federation believes that where the Super Eagles lodge is not of importance as compared to the game to the Nigerian players.
