The 56-year old says he has finetuned a pattern for the Nigerian national team but has not seen the right midfielders to execute his game plan.
According to Soccernet, Eguavoen has said he’s looking for midfielders like former Nigerian internationals Mutiu Adepoju and late Thompson Oliha.
“It’s quite unfortunate. That’s why I went around the league, here and abroad. The system I’ll like to play is to look for a player or two offensive midfield players who can draw box-to-box.

The Super Eagles midfield presently consists of players such as Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo, Oghenekaro Etebo, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Nwakali, and others.
