Paulo Dybala spent seven years at Juventus before he joined Roma at the beginning of the 2022/23 season. The Old Lady decided against offering a new contract to one of their most successful players.

Jose Mourinho snapped him up for free, and he has been one of the capital club's most important players as they fight to return to the UEFA Champions League next season.

The 29-year-old celebrated a late save from goalkeeper Rui Patricio on the touchline with Gini Wijnaldum and had to clarify the action on his Telegram channel, as reported by Football Italia.

“I know it’s difficult for you, and it is also for me. However, I play for a different club and with other teammates today, and I have to respect them. It is never easy to win, and for us, it was very important,” he wrote.
“Respect will always be there, don’t let yourself be deceived by social media. I just celebrated with my teammates. I am sorry you see it this way. A big hug to everyone,” he concluded.

The World Cup winner scored 115 goals for the Bianconeri in 263 games, placing him 10th on their list of goal scorers.

Dybala explains World Cup penalty

La Joya is no stranger to explaining his actions on the pitch. He explained his penalty against France at the World Cup final, as earlier reported by Sports Brief.

He had limited appearances at the World Cup but made two vital actions in the final to help his country win. First, he kicked the ball away after Kylian Mbappe had dribbled through La Albiceleste's defence.

Second, he converted his penalty in the shootout, which he revealed goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez told him to shoot straight through the middle.
