Paulo Dybala has made his first statements following his move to Serie A giants AS Roma.

Dybala signed a three-year contract with the Giallorossi that runs until 30 June 2025.

The 28-year-old Argentine playmaker appeared on the transfer radar of Inter Milan, Napoli and Manchester United but Jose Mourinho, who placed a call to Dybala's camp, played a major role in luring the ex-Juventus ace to the Eternal City.

He becomes the fourth Roma signing in the ongoing summer after the purchase of former Manchester United and Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, Turkish defender Zeki Çelik and goalkeeper Mile Svilar.

In his first statements as a player for the Giallorossi, Dybala told the club's website: "the days that have led up to me signing this contract have been filled with so many emotions.”
“The speed and determination with which Roma demonstrated just how much they wanted me made all the difference.
“I am joining a team that is on the up, a club that continues to put in place strong foundations for the future, and a coach, Jose Mourinho, that it will be a privilege to work with.

Dybala, Serie A’s Most Valuable Player in 2020, also disclosed his long-standing admiration of the Roma club.

“As an opponent, I have always admired the atmosphere created by the Roma fans - I now cannot wait for the chance to salute them while wearing this shirt.”

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Argentine attacker Paulo Dybala has completed a move to Italian giants AS Roma in the ongoing summer transfer window.

According to Italian football journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the former Juventus forward has inked a three-year contract with the Giallorossi worth six million euros.

The Argentine was a primary target for Napoli and also appeared on the transfer wishlist of Manchester United.
