  • Nigerian striker Odion Ighalo has been tipped to score against Real Madrid in the final of the Club World Cup
  • Ighalo and his teammates at Al Hilal will be facing the Spanish champions in the final on Saturday, 11 February
  • Nigerian coach Abubakar Bala says he will be expecting the former Manchester United striker to score

Abubakar Bala who is the gaffer of Niger Tornadoes has stated emphatically that he sees Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo scoring for Al Hilal against Real Madrid in the final of the Club World Cup.

For the very first time in history, a Saudi Arabian club will be playing in the final of the Club World Cup thanks to Al Hilal's win over Flamengo in the semi-final.

While speaking exclusively to Sports Brief, Bala expressed happiness with the fact that Ighalo will be playing in the final as he tipped him to score against Los Blancos.

Statement made by Bala

''I watched the semi-final game against Flamengo, and I was impressed with Ighalo's game. I am happy that his club are now in the final and the best thing is for him to score against Real Madrid.
''I know he will because he always delivers when you need him, and I will also speak with him and boost his morale because he is like a son to me.''

Ighalo hails Cristiano Ronaldo

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how former Manchester United striker Odion Ighalo eulogized Cristiano Ronaldo, backing the Portuguese superstar to excel in Saudi Arabia.

Ronaldo has had a disappointing start to life in the gulf state following his blockbuster move to the Middle East, blanking in his opening two competitive games for Al-Nassr.

His recent no-show against Al-Ittihad resulted in a disappointing semifinal exit from the Saudi Super Cup.

This has drawn criticism from far and near with many suggesting Al-Nassr made the wrong choice of parting with Vincent Aboubakar to accommodate the five-time Ballon d'Or winner.
