Paris Saint-Germain have reached an agreement with Lille for the services of Portuguese midfielder Renato Sanches.

The reigning French champions reached a full agreement with Lille for a fee of €15 million after both parties agreed on a deal last night.

According to transfer market specialist, Fabrizio Romano the medical tests for Renato has been scheduled to take place in Paris.

The 2016 Golden Boy award winner appeared on the wishlist of new manager Christoph Galtier following the club's resolve for a mass clear out which has seen Angel Di Maria depart on a free transfer.

The Parisians, led by new Sporting Director Lucas Ocampos, have veered off their initial high-profile transfer targets with a new approach for younger talents.

Sanches leaves Lille after an impressive three-year spell, having arrived from Bayern Munich, during which he made 91 appearances and was notably part of the team that won the 2020/21 league title.

The 24-year-old midfielder has previously featured for Benfica, Bayern Munich, Swansea and Lille since making his competitive debut in 2015.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that French champions Paris Saint-Germain has rejected the possibility of signing the Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Ronaldo, 37, is currently staring at an uncertain future with the Red Devils despite having a year left on his Old Trafford deal.

The Portugal captain wants to keep playing in the UEFA Champions League and would consider joining Chelsea this summer.
