Neymar Jr has taken to social media to react to Argentina's celebrations after winning the Finalissima against Italy.

The Finalissima, which is a trophy contested for by the European champions and Copa America winners, was won by Argentina on Wednesday night.

In a post on Instagram, the Paris Saint Germain attacker quizzed if Argentina had won the World Cup following their wild celebrations.

"Did they win the World Cup or what?" Neymar wrote via Instagram in the comment section of a fan account, as quoted by Tribuna.

Argentina thumped Italy 3-0 to win the Finalissima trophy on Wednesday night at Wembley.

Meanwhile, Neymar and his Brazil teammates are in South Korea for an international friendly, as preparations to the 2022 World Cup begins.

Brazil are five-time champions of the world while Argentina have won the FIFA World Cup three times.

Argentina defeated Brazil in the final of the 2021 Copa America to win the South American championship.

Argentina beat Italy to win inaugural Finalissima

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Argentina are the winners of the inaugural La Finalissima.

La Albiceleste beat Italy in the one-game at Wembley, thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Ángel Di María and Paulo Dybala.

The Argentinian side dominated the first half but ironically it was Italy who had the only attempts on goal in the first 20 minutes.

Lionel Messi stole the show as Argentina cruised past Italy 3-0 to lift the Finalissima match played at a packed Wembley Stadium in England.

The 35-year-old Argentine who had an underwhelming season with Paris Saint-Germain reminded everyone of how good he is against the European champions.

According to a report via Daily Star, Messi with an outrageous piece of dribbling against Italian defender, Giovanni Di Lorenzo silenced his doubters.
