  • Victor Osimhen remains on the radar of several clubs in Europe following his exploits for Napoli
  • The Super Eagles striker has been told to join Bayern Munich to win awards in Germany and Europe
  • During the summer, the 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the German club, but the deal did not pull through

A Nigerian sports analyst, Mr Bertrand, has urged Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen to consider moving to Bayern Munich.

Having scored 18 goals last season, Osimhen, who has already notched in 5 goals this term, is on the radar of a number of top clubs in Europe.

Last summer, the 23-year-old was linked with a move to Bayern Munich in the wake of Robert Lewandowski's transfer from the Bundesliga club to Barcelona.

Osimhen produced a sublime finish helping Napoli defeat Roma over the weekend and NPFL Updates analyst Mr Bertrand believes the striker will get more goals if he plays for a team like Bayern.

He said:

"If Osimhen were to be a Bayern Munich player at this point in his career, he will surely be winning the highest goalscorers award both in Germany and in the entire Europe.
"Taking nothing away from his current club; in Napoli, sometimes he will have to hustle for the ball in the midfield, join the attack, and return numbers in terms of goals. Just imagine if he were to be at Bayern where they dominate possessions, and lay to the striker to score the goal. He will score a lot of goals.
"He may not be at the World Cup with his national team, but he's surely enjoying his game at the club side."

Napoli director says Osimhen is not for sale

Meanwhile, Napoli director Cristiano Giuntoli has disclosed that Osimhen and Georgia international Kvicha Kavaratskhelia are not for sale.

Giuntoli made the comments in the wake of rumours over the possible transfer of both players when the January transfer window opens.

Nigerian star Osimhen has scored five goals this season, and Kvaratskelia has made a massive 15-goal contribution.

Osimhen speaks on hawking on Lagos streets

Sports Brief earlier reported that Osimhen has shared his rags-to-riches story, from struggling to buy boots to playing at the Diego Armando Maradona stadium in Italy.

The Nigerian forward has been on the lips of many following his outstanding displays in Serie A.

However, in a video posted on social media, the Super Eagles forward disclosed how he had to hawk on the streets of Lagos to support his dreams.
