Ballon d’Or: Nigerian Coach Ojekunle Names the Only Super Eagles Star Who Can Win the Award

Nigerian coach Folabi Ojekunle has stated emphatically that Napoli striker Victor Osimhen is the only Super Eagles star who has the prospect of winning the Ballon d'Or award.

Ojekunle disclosed this while speaking with Sports Brief exclusively about the 2022 Ballon d'Or award which was won by Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema.

There is no doubt about the fact that Benzema has performed incredibly well so far this year as he also helped Real Madrid to win the Champions League beating Liverpool in the final.

The former Kogi United handler explained that it might take time, but Osimhen could land the award years to come if he keeps improving his game.

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Nigerian super striker Victor Osimhen could be leaving Italian Serie A side, Napoli, in the January transfer as Manchester United, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are said to be interested in him.
