Nigerian international Victor Osimhen has expressed delight after scoring in Napoli’s 4-0 win over newly-promoted Monza in the Italian Serie A.

The Super Eagles forward, who also registered a goal in their 5-2 win over Verona in their opening league game of the season, doubled his side’s lead against Monza.

Osimhen was assisted by Cameroon star Zambo Anguissa but was substituted in the 84th minute as Luciano Spalletti takes precautions ahead of their next game.

“Another Win, Another Goal. God Is The Greatest. We Move @sscnapoli.”

Despite suffering injuries and testing positive for COVID-19, Osimhen was Napoli’s top scorer in Serie A, with 14 goals in 27 games.

Napoli top the league table after recording two wins from two games played so far.

Osimhen to get €1 million as a special bonus

Meanwhile, Italian outfit Napoli are ready to splash €1 million as a special bonus for Nigerian international Victor Osimhen if he scores 20 goals in a season.

It was gathered that the agreement was part of the Italian club's bid to lure the Nigerian international from French side Lille.

Osimhen is aware of the clause but has stated that helping his team to win games is much more important.

Last season, Osimhen scored 14 Serie A goals, four more than his tally in his debut season at the club.

Coming into his third season, all eyes are on him to surpass his feat in the previous two seasons.

CAF demands disciplinary action against Napoli president

Sports Brief earlier reported that The Confederation of African Football, CAF, wants serious disciplinary action taken against Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis for his ‘irresponsible and unacceptable’ comments about African players.

Aurelio De Laurentiis claims his club will not sign African players unless they agreed to sign a deal that prevents them from playing in Africa's flagship international competition, the Africa Cup of Nations.

His comments have drawn a response from CAF, which wants UEFA to initiate disciplinary action against the Napoli president.
