Manchester United boss Erik Ten Hag showed a kind gesture towards a young fan when he stopped by Carrington to interact with the kid.

Ten Hag is pioneering a new era at the club after six unsuccessful years. The club went without winning silverware since winning the 2017 UEFA Europa League under Jose Mourinho.

The Dutch tactician guided the club to the 2023 Carabao Cup, beating Newcastle United 2-0 in the final at Wembley on February 26.

The trophy, style of play and discipline he has brought to the club have made him an instant favourite and got fans believing the glory days are back at Old Trafford, according to Forbes.

Ten Hag meets a young fan

The former Ajax boss has deepened his connection to the Red Devils faithful and recently made the day of a young fan while driving away from the club's training facility at Carrington.

According to a video published on Twitter by @maya81105, the boss met a young fan who presented him with a crown made from cardboard with the inscription King Erik Ten Hag.

The boy asked the former FC Twente boss to guess his favourite player, and he correctly guessed Alejandro Garnacho, possibly taking a hint from the kid's scarf.

Ten Hag rides bicycle with his wife

According to Sun UK, the 53-year-old was seen riding electric bicycles with his wife, Bianca, in the Greater Manchester suburbs whole house hunting in January.

Mirror UK reports he lives close to Pep Guardiola's £2m penthouse, and United are covering his £10,000 per month rent, which was one of his requests before he agreed to join the club last year.

Ten Hag explains Martial's decision

One of the key things that have endeared Ten Hag to United fans is his squad management and easing players into the squad after injury returns and dry spells.

Sports Brief reported that French striker Anthony Martial started off the bench against Brentford, and the coach claimed he was not fit to start due to many injuries and fragility.
