The Red Devils put four goals past the Spanish giants to put one foot in the next round of the European competition.

Goals from Marcus Rashford, Antony, Bruno Fernandes, and Wout Weghorst earned United a 4-1 comfortable win, with Ayoze Perez scoring the visitors' consolation.

Erik ten Hag orders more goals

A section of fans is convinced Ten Hag was calling for three more goals when United were leading 4-1.

According to Sportbible, cameras captured the United boss making a "three fingered gesture" with his fingers, leading to a slew of reactions online.

A number of fans suggested that the Dutchman wanted three more goals scored to make it seven.

One said:

"Ten Hag telling the players they owe him THREE more goals."

Another posted:

"Ten Hag asking three more goals by showing his three fingers was a hilarious moment."

While a third observed:

"Ten Hag demanding three more goals at 85’."

Weghorst breaks Old Trafford duck

Sports Brief also reported on Weghorst scoring his first goal at Old Trafford to help Man United see off Real Betis in the first leg of the Europa League round of 16.

The score had been a long time coming for the Dutch striker, who has been on the receiving end of harsh criticism from fans after his arrival in January.

Weghorst was signed on loan as a stop-gap measure following Cristiano Ronaldo's sudden exit and Anthony Martial's recurring injury problems.
