  • Mykhailo Mudryk's reported social media activity has generated widespread reactions
  • His alleged account jumped in the aftermath of Manchester United's loss to Liverpool
  • The user fired back at a Man United fan after his side conceded seven times at Anfield

Is that his real Twitter account? That's the first question many fans asked as soon as the tweet went up.

An account bearing Chelsea's January signing, Mykhailo Mudryk's name took a brutal swipe at Manchester United after their embarrassing defeat at Liverpool on March 5.

Although the account is not verified, judging from its recent activities, it is believed to belong to the Ukrainian winger as it always provides updates on his training sessions and match days.

Mudryk has been in the headlines since making the big-money switch to London from Shakhtar Donetsk.

Mudryk's time at Chelsea

He was initially supposed to join league leaders, Arsenal but snubbed them and elected to join Chelsea instead.

Any high-profile signing is bound to attract some attention, and fans have been observing the winger keenly since he arrived at Stamford Bridge.

He is yet to provide an assist or score in the six games he has featured so far under Graham Potter. Football fans have the '007' trolls, which mock new players who go for seven games without scoring or assisting at their new clubs.

Mudryk was one game away from being the new 007, taking over from the likes of Jadon Sancho and Cody Gakpo, who have in the past been subjected to such trolling.

A Manchester United fan account, Trey UTD had put up an illustration waiting for the 21-year-old to become the new 007.

However, when Liverpool put seven past Manchester United, the account quote retweeted Trey's post and uploaded an image of popular comedian, Kevin Hart which has been interpreted as meaning, 'Who's laughing now?'

"Wait, this can’t be the real account."

@Forever_Blue_07 said:

"I really wish it’s actually him."

@N.J said:

"Its really a tough day when Chelsea, who irrelevant with the top 4 atm are, mocking utd"

Whether real account or not, Mudryk can be sure that United fans will now be watching his next appearance for Chelsea with keen eyes.

The Blues play Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday, looking to overturn a 1-0 deficit to advance to the next round of the Champions League.

Manchester United's nightmare at Anfield

No one could have seen this coming. Not even in Jurgen Klopp's wildest dreams could he have imagined recording a victory of such a margin against Man United.

Sports Brief previously reported on Erik ten Hag's side being on the ascendancy since suffering back-to-back defeats at the start of the season.

But to echo Peter Drury's words, what was not supposed to happen, happened. The unthinkable did happen as the Reds put seven past a hapless Red Devils.
