English Premier League giants Manchester United are reportedly still interested in signing Cameroonian international, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting during the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have been on the trail of Bayern Munich star for some time, and they are already considering the forward following the recent departure of Cristiano Ronaldo.
United were linked with the player late last year and German journalist, Florian Plettenberg claims the Old Trafford outfit are still interested in the star, Sports Mole reports.
According to Plettenberg, Bayern are not prepared to let Choupo-Moting leave easily, as they are already negotiating a contract extension for the star.

The journalist tweeted:
"News Choupo-Moting: First meeting about a new contract between [Hasan] Salihamidzic, Neppe, Choupo's father & his agent today. Good talks but no fast decision. He doesn't want to be the backup next season. Clubs like #MUFC still pushing for a transfer in winter."
The 33-year-old has been in impressive form for Bayern during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 11 goals and registering three assists in 16 appearances in all competitions.
Old Trafford mass exodus looms
Meanwhile, the January transfer window could be marked with some departures from Old Trafford, as Erik ten Hag seeks to build a team that can challenge for trophies.
It is understood that Man United have less money to spend during this window, with the club keen to sign a short-term replacement for Ronaldo after he departed the club in November 2022.
