Apart from attacking Head Coach Erik ten Hag, Ronaldo also went after the young crop of players, calling them out for lack of attitude and concern about their careers.

The striker mentioned that he players have refused to heed to his advice and warned they wouldn't have long careers if they keep the same attitude up, Sky Sports reported.

He did not mention specific players, but Jose Mourinho made similar comments in 2018 when he questioned players' attitudes when he was Manchester United boss.

Mourinho was always on a constant warpath with specific players at the club, and is famously remembered for his comments on Luke Shaw's brain.

At one point, the current AS Roma boss said:

"I have to adapt to what young players are now. Lampard, at the age of 23, was a man. The boys who are 23 now aren't men, they're brats."

Many have now drawn comparison between the Special One and CR7 in their criticism of the upcoming generations in football.

Ronaldo praises Diogo Dalot

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Ronaldo's longevity and success in football is arguably unmatched, with the Portuguese star having played in the top tiers for over two decades.

Given his health, he looks like he could go another decade more, and now he has identified one Manchester United player that is likely to match his longevity.

He made the remarks about the player in his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan, which continued on November 16, following his lashing out at the club's owners, management and former teammates on Sunday.
