Former Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made a surprise return to football management.

Solskjaer had not managed any other team since he was sacked at Old Trafford close to a year ago after a string of poor performances.

According to The Sun, the former footballer swiftly returned to his coastal hometown of Kristiansund after his sacking in November 2021.

It is believed that the 49-year-old was offered several managerial offers in the summer but turned them down.

Be that as it may, it appears the Norwegian is itching to return to football management soon on a full-time basis.

Scandinavian outlet VG claims Ole recently took charge of his hometown’s Kristiansund's U14s side, where his youngest son Elijah is one of their top stars.

It is understood that Solskjer's side went on to secure a win during the Saturday, September 10, match.

Speaking after the match, Ole revealed that he has a desire of returning to management with a top-flight club.

"It should be serious, but it should also be fun. I hope I can contribute to giving the players good habits," The Sun quoted the Man United legend saying.

Reports in Norway claim that the tactician has been taking several training sessions a week with fellow head coach Per Magne Hals at the club.
