Manchester United Legend Patrice Evra Stunned As Colourful Crowd Welcomes Him in Ghana

Former Manchester United star Patrice Evra arrived at the Kotoka International Airport in Ghana amid glitz, glamour and fanfare.

The ex-France international earlier disclosed in a social media post that he was heading to the West African country as part of his tour of the continent.

Evra, who is famous for making inspiring videos on social media with the theme ‘I Love This Game’, had expressed so much anticipation ahead of his visit to Ghana.

The former Manchester United captain was born in Dakar, Senegal, before his parents moved to Europe when he was a year old.

He started his career with Italian side Marsala then had a brief stint with Monza before returning to France after a year to join Nice.

GH Gossip reports that his performances for Monaco led to a January 2006 transfer to English club Manchester United, where he went on to win a slew of trophies, including five Premier League titles and a UEFA Champions League. Evra also played for Juventus.

As soon as the Ghana airport terminal doors opened, Evra was greeted by hundreds of fans waiting outside the premises.

He was amazed as he managed to clap while a music band continued to beat the drums and also blow the trumpets to welcome him.

A woman presented the Frenchman with a bouquet of flowers as he was given a special reception upon arrival in the country.

Evra quickly shared the clip on his Instagram handle with the caption ‘this is a real welcome’, and his fans have continued to react. One said:

“Beautiful. Make sure they know (Red) Manchester loves Ghana too! @lesamponsah no more Tottenham mistakes!”

Another added:

“Please check out my Son Patrick Amartey he plays left back for Tamale City fc. He is your biggest fan.”

One wrote:

“Akwaaba Uncle P!! Our guy in our country.”

Evra delivers Burna Boy’s ‘Last Last’ song in style

Sports Brief earlier reported that Evra is undoubtedly a staunch fan of Burna Boy’s music as he delivered a perfect rendition of the artiste’s trending song ‘Last Last’.

‘Last Last’ is a song by Nigerian singer Burna Boy which was released through Atlantic Records on May 13, 2022, as the first single from his sixth studio album, Love, Damini.

And Evra, who has flair for Naija songs, delivered a sensational rendition of the song while on a boat in Paris.
