Paris Saint-Germain wanted to exchange Neymar for Paul Pogba in 2019. New reports have revealed that PSG were interested in Pogba and were willing to let Neymar go.

Manchester United turned down the opportunity due to financial issues and the fact that they wanted to keep Pogba.

Fast forward, issues have changed dramatically. Pogba has since left Manchester United while PSG are looking for possible suitors for Neymar.

The Daily Express reports that United were not willing to pay Neymar his huge salary of about 900,000 euros per week.

Neymar now has been deemed surplus to requirements at the French club. It is understood that his relationship with the club's President Nasser Al-Khelaifi have deteriorated but he still wants to remain at the club.
