Cristiano Ronaldo stands a good chance of not playing in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in his professional career if he decides to stay at Manchester United.

According to a report via Sport Bible, Ronaldo’s sister, Katia Aviero liked a post on social media that urged the Portugal captain to quit Manchester United.

Ronaldo rejoined the Red Devils at the start of the season and has had a remarkable individual campaign scoring 24 goals in all competitions.

The UEFA Champions League’s all-time top scorer with 140 goals will now have to decide if he wants to remain at Man United or decide to move to another team where he can play Champions League football next season.

Ronaldo to start coaching career at Man United

Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo has mapped out his plans after retiring from professional football despite revealing earlier he plans to stay active for at least four more seasons.

According to The Express, after a recent report suggested he had no intention of leaving Manchester United, Ronaldo may be intending to start his coaching career at Old Trafford.

Ronaldo penned a two-year deal with the option of a third when he returned to Old Trafford last August, but there have been doubts over the 37-year-old's long-term future after Man United’s poor league campaign.

Beckham urges Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Manchester United

Earlier, Sports Brief reported retired footballer and superstar David Beckham has asked Cristiano Ronaldo to stay at Manchester United for at least another season.

Rumours have continued to swirl around that Ronaldo could possibly consider his future elsewhere, considering United’s shambolic season.

The Red Devils are set to miss out on the Champions League. Their Europa League spot could also slip away from them should West Ham win all of its remaining games.
