Roy Keane backs Man City to retain the Premier League

Keane, a former Man United captain, is one such pundit who has shared his opinion on how he feels the season will end.

According to the Premier League icon, next season's title battle will again be a two-horse race pitting Man City and Liverpool.

Despite other teams, including Arsenal and Chelsea, strengthening with some impressive signings, the former footballer does not see them closing the gap on City and Liverpool.

"I don’t think they will close the gap," Keane told Sky Bet.
"I think they will be a bit better. They have quality and the recruitment, but you can’t look beyond Liverpool and Man City," he added.

Manchester United smash Liverpool in pre-season friendly

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Erik ten Hag has kicked off his Manchester United reign on a flying start after leading his charges to a huge 4-0 win over rivals Liverpool in a pre-season friendly staged in Thailand.

The Tuesday, July 12, clash was Ten Hag's first in charge of the Red Devils since he was appointed the club's permanent boss.

And the Dutchman did not disappoint even as he gave United fans a glimpse of what to expect when the new season starts.
