Pep Guardiola has responded to Patrice Evra’s jibe at him suggesting he can’t train players with big personalities following Manchester City’s capitulation in the UEFA Champions League.
The ex-Manchester United defender had taken the swipe at the 51-year-old manager as he noted that Manchester City's current squad is severely weak in leaders.
According to a report via the Daily Mail, Guardiola revealed Evra is being so bold with his comments so he could earn a job back at his former club Manchester United.
“Maybe Evra is right or maybe he's doing a good quote to come back to Manchester United to work there.
“I've had nice, incredible players in my past at Barcelona, Bayern, Man City. I could give a good list in terms of personality and character. Most of them have won World Cups, European, UCL's and leagues.”
Guardiola has managed top clubs in his illustrious managerial career and has coached top players including Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski, and Kevin De Bruyne amongst others.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City are being unfairly criticized for their transfer spending compared to their other Premier League rivals.
According to Manchester Evening News, the 51-year-old manager insists the big teams in England including Manchester United and Liverpool have always spent big on transfers.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Patrice Evra has berated Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola, saying the tactician is unable to train players with personality.
The Frenchman claimed that the former Barcelona manager does not want leaders in his squad and that he replicated that during his time with the Spanish giants.
Evra made the comments in the wake of City’s Champions League exit against Real Madrid where they capitulated and conceded three goals in 11 minutes to lose 6-5 on aggregate.
