"Mamelodi Sundowns can confirm that it has parted ways with the Slovakian striker, Pavol Šafranko. The 27-year-old lanky striker joined Sundowns last season from Romanian Liga 1 side Sepsi OSK and made a total of 29 appearances and scored 9 goals for Masandwana.
"One of the key goals that Pavol scored was the winner against Royal AM to ensure that Sundowns progressed to the final of the Nedbank Cup. Pavol, who has been a consummate professional throughout his stay at Sundowns is free to join the club of his choice. The Sundowns family wishes him all of the best with his footballing endeavours."

The Citizen also reported that Kermit Erasmus is expected to be offloaded by Bafana Ba Style, having failed to establish himself in the matchday squad across all competitions. He joined the club from Cape Town City in October 2020.

The champions had secured the services of Chilean Marcelo Allende and Abubaker Nassir from Ethiopia ahead of the current campaign.

Mamelodi Sundowns' DStv Premiership title defense has started warming up properly.

As reported by Sports Brief, Bafana Ba Style saw off Stellenbosch FC 3-0 at Loftus Versfeld earlier this evening.

The victory ensured that Sundowns temporarily returned to the summit of the log dependent on how the previous leaders Amazulu would perform against Golden Arrows later, before Orlando Pirates usurped them after a win against Marumo Gallants.
