Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Luis Diaz, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Ibrahima Konate, and manager Jurgen Klopp also appeared in the promotional video.

The Reds also revealed on their club website that the reverse of the jersey features the 97 emblem, with the change from 96 to 97 in recognition of Andrew Stanley Devine, who died last year following long-term health problems as a result of the Hillsborough disaster.

'We're all so proud to wear the Liverpool FC jersey and be part of the swoosh family,' Henderson said at the unveiling as quoted by Daily Mail.

'We know exactly what this jersey means to our fans, and we can't wait to run out in it at Anfield.'

Liverpool will play Real Madrid in the Champions League final in Paris on May 28 after beating Villarreal 3-2 on Tuesday night and 5-2 on aggregate.

Virgil Van Dijk Accuses Thierry Henry of Not Picking His Calls

Sports Brief earlier reported that Virgil Van Dijk has playfully teased Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry of always ignoring his texts on live television after Liverpool’s exhausting Champions League semi-final victory against Villareal.

The Dutch defender had just finished guiding the Reds to a 3-2 victory against the Yellow Submarines and was on hand to conduct the post-match interview when he accused the Frenchman.

According to a report via Sport Bible, Henry who was on duty as a pundit for the Liverpool game revealed he had changed phones and lost the number of the 30-year-old defender.
