The 35-year-old took to Twitter to highlight some of his high moments and memories, and Sports Brief has compiled a list.

1. Winning the Championship - 2014

Leicester City literally swept aside everyone in the Championship season of 2013/2014 and won the league with 102 points. At that time, the club was under Nigel Pearson.

2. Winning the Premier League - 2016

This remains to be one of the most historic achievements in Premier League history. Marshalled by Claudio Ranieri, the Foxes rode emphatically to the top of the Premier League. In Schmeichel's words,

Not sure there will ever be a moment that comes close to this one… defying the odds and lifting the Premier League trophy. Dream come true.

3. The death of Leicester City's owner -2018

Undoubtedly the lowest moment of Schmeichel's stay at Leicester. The club was thrown into grieving when Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the owner, died in a helicopter crash minutes after leaving the King Power stadium.

4. Winning the FA Cup - 2021

Now the club's captain, Schmeichel, led his side to another surprise win over Chelsea in the FA Cup. A Youri Tielemans thunderbolt was enough to secure victory for Brendan Rodgers's side. But the Danish goalkeeper had his moments in the game's dying minutes with amazing saves.

5. Winning the Community Shield - 2021

They followed it up with another victory in the Premier League's curtain raiser against Manchester City.

Schmeichel signed off with a message to Leicester City's supporters,

11 seasons… made so special by the people behind the scenes, those on the pitch alongside me and by the fans.
Your support has been amazing. I’m very grateful to each and every one of you.
Thank you and I will see you all soon. Kasper

After a failed stint with Chelsea, Salah went to AS Roma to make something out of his career. He was then bought by Liverpool and has gone on to break record after record.
