Inter Milan Hall of Famer, Samuel Eto'o has praised his former club's signing of Cameroonian goalkeeper Andre Onana.

The former Italian champions agreed a deal in principle with the goalkeeper in January but arrived in Milan this week to concluded the deal.

Eto'o who won a historic treble with Inter Milan in 2010 drew comparison between Onana and his former teammate Julio Cesar, and believes his compatriot can steer the Nerazurri's to success.

“For me he is one of the three best goalkeepers in the world, if not the best. I hope he will give a lot to Inter, but above all a lot to Cameroon. In modern football, having a goalkeeper who can cross the lines with passes of 50 or 60 meters is a factor," Eto'o said as quoted by The Cult of Calcio.
”They are from different eras, but for me he is like Julio Cesar in terms of impact," he added.

Onana left Ajax after seven successful years, winning three Eredivisie titles and two Johan Cryuff Shield.

Andre Onana has arrived in Italy to join Inter Milan

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Andre Onana has arrived in Milano ahead of his move to dethroned Italian Serie A champions Inter Milan.

The Cameroon shot-stopper arrived at the club's headquarters, located in the heart of Milan’s Porta Nuova innovation district, ahead of his official announcement.

Onana has already signed a five-year deal with the Nerazzurri, having completed his mandatory medicals in January, reports transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano.

Samuel Eto'o put the icing on the cake in an eventful star-studded charity game held at the San Siro on Monday night.

The Integration Heroes charity match organised by Samuel Eto'o saw several legendary footballers make a return to the pitch.

In a video posted on social media, spotted by Sports Brief, Eto'o netted stunning goal to beat Cameroon's national team goalkeeper Andre Onana, who took part in the game.
