Ghana's teen sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan, has been gifted a beautiful pencil painting of himself by a fan as he prepares for the opening Group E AFCON qualifier against Madagascar.

The 19-year-old is expected to lead the lines when the Black Stars of Ghana hosts Madagascar at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday evening.

In photos posted on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, a smiling Afena-Gyan could not hide his joy as he received the drawing.

Felix Afena-Gyan returned home last week after winning the Europa Conference League with Italian giants AS Roma.

The teenager immediately joined his Black Stars teammates to start preparations for the AFCON qualifiers.

The young forward, who made his debut against Nigeria in March, will be hoping to get his first goal for the country during the qualifiers.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Felix Afena-Gyan has become a role model for young kids who are looking at following his career path after a meteoric rise to first team football.

The 19-year-old in a year has gone from gaining promotion to the AS Roma first team to winning the Europa Conference League.

In a video posted on social media, spotted by Sports Brief, the Black Stars striker was the toast of young fans who surrounded him to take selfies.

Black Stars intensify training ahead of Madagascar clash

The Black Stars held their first training session on Saturday as the team prepares for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Coach Otto Addo and his technical team led twenty-eight players through rigorous exercises as the boys put in work before Sunday's game against Madagascar.

In photos posted on Twitter, the players are seen going through intensive drills and ball work as Otto Addo explains his system to the team.
