Captain of Ghana's senior national football team, Andre Ayew, has started personal training ahead of his return to the Black Stars next month for the 2023 AFCON qualifiers.

The 32-year-old missed Ghana's World Cup play-offs against Nigeria through suspension, but he is poised to make his comeback in the games against Madagascar and Central Africa Republic.

In a video spotted by Sports Brief, the Al Sadd playmaker is seen engaged in rigorous exercise as he stays in shape before the busy international window.

Andre Ayew and his senior brother Rahim Ayew, a former Ghana international, went through some drills as well as engaged in ball work.

The former Swansea star is expected to lead the Black Stars to a good start to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

Ayew will also travel with the team to Japan for the Kirin Cup tournament, as Ghana plays hosts Japan and South American side Chile.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Ghana captain Andre Ayew is the first Black Stars player to arrive in the country ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier next month.

The 32-year-old returns to the team after missing the World Cup play-offs against Nigeria due to suspension.

Andre Ayew in photos posted on social media, was spotted watching a Division One league game between FC Nania, a club owned by his legendary father Abedi Pele and Kwaebibrem FC.

Captain of Ghana's senior men's national team, Andre Ayew trained with Ghana Premier League outfit Medeama SC on Friday morning at the Ajax Park in Legon, a suburb in the capital.

Ayew was the first Black Stars player to arrive in the country ahead of Ghana's 2023 AFCON qualifiers next month.

And the 32-year-old took himself through the paces before the Black Stars officially open camp for the upcoming international assignment next month.
