Ghana international Andy Yiadom has been adjudged the Player of the Year for English Championship side, Reading FC.
The right-back was voted as the club's best player, receiving the individual accolade at the 150th Anniversary Gala Dinner on Wednesday evening.
Yiadom played a crucial role as Reading's Championship status was mathematically secured last Saturday.
"Energy and enthusiasm, married with no shortage of quality. A leader on and off the pitch. Capable of producing big moments. Assets that have been recognised by the Royals faithful."
"And now his name will be forever etched into our roll of honour as the Player of the Season for the 2021-22 campaign. Congratulations, Andy!" A club statement read.
The 30-year-old made 38 appearances for the Royals this season, scoring a goal and providing two assists in what has been a remarkable campaign for the Ghanaian defender.
In what has been a mixed year for Andy, the marauding right-back was part of Ghana's team that performed abysmally at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, exiting at the group stages.
But Andy and his Black Stars teammates managed to redeem themselves in grand style when he helped the West African nation qualify for the 2022 World Cup at the expense of Nigeria.
Andy Yiadom scoops Reading's Player of the Month award for March
Black Stars full-back Andy Yiadom has been voted as the Player of the Month for March for English Championship club Reading FC.
The 30-year-old right-back received 35% of the votes, ahead of Tom Ince and Josh Laurent (both 25%) and Tom Holmes (15%) to clinch his first Player of the Month award for the ongoing campaign.
Yiadom was excellent for the former Premier League club throughout last month.
