Following his sterling performance for the Belgian First Division A, Nurudeen has been able to convince the club's top hierarchy to extend his deal to 2026.

Eupen announced the extension of the goalkeeper's contract on their official website with one year remaining on his original deal.

A statement on the club's website read, via Ghana Web:

"KAS Eupen has extended the contract with their Ghanaian goalkeeper Abdul Manaf Nurudeen for four years until June 30, 2026. As a graduate of the Aspire Academy, Abdul Manaf Nurudeen came to KAS Eupen in summer 2017.

Nurudeen was named in Interim Black Stars coach Otto Addo's squad to cross swords with West African neighbours Nigeria.

Otto Addo announced his squad, three days to the blockbuster clash against the Super Eagles after what was described as a 'special strategy' by the Ghana Football Association to keep the squad close to their chest before today.

Ghana will cross swords with Nigeria in the all-important World Cup playoffs on March 25 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for the first leg before heading to the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja four days later.

GFA Scribe Explains Why Kotoko Goalkeeper Was Not Included in Black Stars Squad

Sports Brief earlier reported that vice president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Mark Addo has thrown light on the exclusion of Ibrahim Danlad from the Black Stars squad.

The young custodian has mustered eight clean sheets and conceded only four goals in 11 outings for the Porcupine Warriors.

His superlative performances for the current Ghana Premier League leaders has sparked several calls for his inclusion in the Black Stars squad, especially since Ghana will be hosting Nigeria at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium - the home grounds of Asante Kotoko.
