Legendary Ghana forward Asamoah Gyan has hinted that he might be vying for the position of the Ghana Football Association presidency in the future.

According to the former Sunderland attacker, he will likely follow in the footsteps of Samuel Eto'o and Didier Drogba even though he has not thought about taking the initiative yet.

In an interview with Asaase Radio, via Citi Sports, Gyan disclosed that a number of people had approached him with the idea as well.

“I don’t know. It might be possible. I haven’t thought about it. There are a lot of people who call me and tell me that I can be the FA President one day,” Gyan said.
“It’s something I haven’t thought about but it might get to a time when I might pick a thought that the people are choosing me.
I don’t think Samuel Eto’o and Didier Drogba ever thought that they would go for the presidency. It got to a time where they realised that they could,” Gyan added

Asamoah Gyan is hoping to emulate Drogba and Eto'o, who is now president of FECAFOOT.

Drogba, on the other hand, has been cleared to compete in the Ivorian FA elections this week in Abidjan.

The Chelsea legend enjoyed an illustrious football career, winning several trophies, including multiple Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.
