Big Blow as Ghanaian Promising Forward Receives England Call Up

Crystal Palace winger Jerusan Rak-Sakyi has earned a call-up to the England Under-20 for their fixtures against Poland and Germany later this month.

The 19-year-old was born in London to Ghanaian parents but has already played three games for the England U-20 team, scoring one goal.

He made his goal-scoring debut for the U20s during a 6–1 victory over Romania U20s at St. George's Park in 2020.

Rak-Sakyi has been on blistering form for Crystal Palace Under-23s side this season, scoring 15 goals in 21 appearances.

He has also won the Premier League 2 Player of the Month award for February.

The 19-year-old emerged the best player for the month of February, beating Fulham's Luke Harris and Sonny Hilton, Manchester City's Juan Larios and James McAtee, Southampton's Luke Pearce and Manchester United's Shola Shoretire to win the top gong.

Rak-Sakyi scored three goals in the month, leading Crystal Palace to an unbeaten run with two wins and a draw.

He is now set to feature for England U-20 side against Poland on Friday 25th March and Germany four days later in the U20 Elite League.

Rak-Sakyi is still eligible to play for the Black Stars of Ghana as he is yet to play for the Three Lions at the senior team level.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi Could Pledge International Allegiance to Ghana

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Crystal Palace winger Jerusan Rak-Sakyi is ready to meet with the Ghana Football Association to discuss an international allegiance switch, it has emerged.

The 19-year-old was born in London to Ghanaian parents but has played three games for England U-20 team, scoring one goal.
