Ghana has dropped to 61st in the latest Coca Cola FIFA rankings today following the Black Stars' abysmal display at the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
The four-times African champions have also dropped out of the top ten places on the continent, with Burkina Faso, who finished fourth at AFCON taking Ghana's place.
In a release by FIFA on Thursday, February 10, the Black Stars lost 47.52 points to go down in the rankings.
Meanwhile, African champions Senegal maintained their position at the top with Morocco, Nigeria, Egypt and Tunisia completing the top five.
Former African champions Algeria drop to seventh with AFCON hosts Cameroon falling to sixth.
Mali, Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso complete the top ten on the continent in the new rankings.
For the first time in the history of the country, failed to win a game at the Nations Cup and were booted out of the tournament at the group stages.
Nigeria move up in FIFA rankings
Meanwhile, Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up in the latest FIFA ranking for all football nations globally as the three-time African champions are now rated 3rd best in Africa and 32nd globally.
