Super Eagles of Nigeria have moved up in the latest FIFA ranking for all football nations in the world as the three-time African champions are now rated 3rd best in Africa and 32nd globally.

This is an awesome development for the Super Eagles of Nigeria despite crashing out in the round of 16 at the just concluded 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

At the 2021 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, Nigeria started their campaign on an impressive note beating Egypt in the first game and also recorded wins over Sudan and Equatorial Guinea.

And when Nigerians were expecting their players to soar in the round of 16, they suffered a 1-0 defeat against Tunisia and crashed out.

According to the latest information released by FIFA, Senegal who won the 2021 African Cup of Nations title are occupying the first position in Africa.

NFF president Pinnick makes big statement on Eguavoen's performance at 2021 AFCON

Earlier, Sports Brief had reported how Augustine Eguavoen was praised by the Amaju Pinnick who is the president of the Nigerian Football Federation for his performances with the Super Eagles at the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.

The 2021 African Cup of Nations came to an end on Sunday in Cameroon with Senegal emerging champions after beating Egypt 4-2 on penalties in the final.

Expectations of many Nigerians was for the Super Eagles to reach the final of the African Cup of Nations, but they crashed out in the round of 16 losing against Tunisia.

Amaju Pinnick explained that Augustine Eguavoen gave the players a good chance to express themselves at AFCON.
