Ghana Football Association President, Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku has expressed satisfaction with the display of the Black Stars in the defeat to Morocco on Monday.

The GFA boss is confident the Black Stars will bounce back from the opening day loss and get the needed results against Gabon and Comoros.

In an interview with the media in Cameroon, Kurt Okraku sounded confident and believes the team will progress to the next stage of the tournament.

"We came here to make ourselves proud and that we knew we have to play three games to make it to the next level," he said.
"We played a very tough game against Morocco. I thought we were very structured, we were very disciplined. Unfortunately, that ball found it's way into the net.
"But the team has recovered ever since, training sessions have been very very good. We saw today's training sessions which sends a clear signal about the readiness of the boys to come back to winning ways and I am extremely positive about our game against the Gabonese on Friday."

Gabon won their opening game against Comoros on Monday without captain Pierre-Everick Aubamayeng, who is set to return for the Ghana game.

The Black Stars need a win to boost their chances of progressing to the next stage of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Thomas Partey ready for Gabon clash

Earlier, SportsBrief.com reported that, deputy Black Stars captain, Thomas Partey says the Black Stars will bounce back from their opening day defeat to Morocco at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana lost to Morocco narrowly at the Stade Ahmadou Ahidjo following an 83rd minute goal from Sofiane Boufal.

In a post on Facebook, the Arsenal star expressed disappointment in the defeat and adds the team wont give up on their dreams of winning AFCON.
