Chelsea have unveiled a mural of Raheem Sterling at Stamford Bridge, barely two weeks after the English forward joined them from Man City.

Sterling sealed a sensational switch to Chelsea earlier this month in a £50million deal to become the Blues' first signing of the summer.

However, his new club have wasted no time proving how much he means to them after they unveiled a mural of him at Stamford Bridge ahead of the new season.

Chelsea gave fans a glimpse of the mural through their official social media accounts with the caption:

"Back on home soil."

The mural features the image of the former Man City attacker celebrating in Chelsea's colours.

According to the Daily Mail, the mural has been planted on the West Stand inside the stadium.

Sterling will have a golden chance to have a better view of the mural on Saturday, August 14, when the Blues host rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, in their first home game of the new season.

Raheem Sterling's history with London

It is understood that Chelsea honoured Sterling with the mural owing to his history with the city of London.

The England international was born in Jamaica before he moved to London at the age of five, where he grew up.

He would later play for Queens Park Rangers in their academy - before moving to Liverpool aged 15.

As such, a return to London with Chelsea was emotional for Sterling, who will be hoping to hit the ground running once the new season kicks off.

Romelu Lukaku admits he made mistake with Chelsea move

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Romelu Lukaku has detailed his regrets for dumping Inter Milan to reunite with Chelsea last summer.

The Belgian ace described his £97.5milion sensational transfer to Stamford Bridge last summer as 'a mistake.'

However, Lukaku was quick to admit that he is now delighted to be back with Inter Milan, albeit temporarily.
