  • Raheem Sterling has stated that he has settled in well at Chelsea and enjoys a great relationship with Callum Hudson-Odoi
  • Thomas Tuchel could look into using the duo's relationship to bring more goals to his side that has always fluffed its chances
  • Sterling made his debut against Charlotte FC as Chelsea continue with their preseason tour in America

New Chelsea player Raheem Sterling has revealed that he shares a great understanding with Callum Hudson-Odoi. Sterling was bought from Manchester City and is expected to be a key player for Thomas Tuchel.

He comes in at a time when Tuchel will be looking for a point man in his attack after the failed experiment of Romelu Lukaku. Having won four Premier League titles at Manchester City, Sterling can provide the impetus and experience that the Chelsea squad need upfront.

He recently made his official debut when he was introduced as a second-half substitute in a game that Chelsea lost to Charlotte FC on post-match penalties. He impressed with some dazzling dribbles, which reminded the club's fanbase of Eden Hazard.

But apart from his skills, Sterling has quipped that he has hit it off nicely with his England international teammates, particularly Hudson Odoi. Football London reports that Tuchel might look into tapping the relationship next season.

Hudson-Odoi had injury problems but has always been a favourite of the head coach and could be in line to get more minutes next season.

Raheem Sterling thrashes Thomas Tuchel in a game of table tennis

Sports Brief had earlier reported that Chelsea head coach Thomas Tuchel was involved in a wholesome team-building exercise with his new recruit Raheem Sterling. Chelsea are currently in the United States for their preseason tour, where they have already played two games.

In a video spotted online by Sports Brief, the two were seen engaging in a game of table tennis. Sterling rips his new head coach apart much to win a round as Tuchel exits the game in disbelief.

It is unclear whether they played that game before the under-par Chelsea performance against Charlotte FC or afterwards. Chelsea were below their usual strength as the Major League Soccer side beat them on post-match penalties.
