Antonio Rudiger has provided insight into his playing style, which has been described as 'no nonsense', earning the moniker Rambo.

The hard-tackling German defender has built a reputation for himself as defender most forwards would not want to meet in one-on-one duels.

His style of play has sharply divided opinions, however, Rudiger, who is heading to Spanish giants Real Madrid following the expiration of his deal with Chelsea, has shed light on how he gained that feisty aspect of his game.

"But when you are hungry, nothing is impossible. It is the ones who are starving, the ones who have nothing to lose, who are the most dangerous." Rudiger told Players Tribune in his farewell message to Chelsea.
"When Tuchel came in as manager and gave me a chance, it was a new life for me. Actually, he did something right away that I think a lot of managers could learn from. It had nothing to do with tactics. He just came up to me and he said, [Toni, tell me about yourself.]"
He wanted to know where my aggression and hunger came from, and I told him about growing up in Berlin-Neukölln and how I used to play so hard on the concrete pitches that all the older kids started calling me “Rambo.”

Rudiger happy with Chelsea's display in the FA Cup despite heartbreak against Liverpool

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that soon-to-be Real Madrid centre-half Antonio Rudiger has broken his silence after Chelsea's painful Emirates FA Cup defeat to Liverpool on Saturday afternoon.

Rudiger underlined his supreme defensive abilities and gave his new employers a piece of what they will be seeing on a regular basis from next season with a masterclass display in the heart of the defence for the Blues.

In a post on Twitter, spotted by Sports Brief, Rudiger expressed his disappointment in his team's loss; however, he was quick to praise his team for the valiant display at Wembley.
