Rudiger and Chelsea have been locked in contractual talks which hit a brick wall following the sanctions imposed on the defending European Champions, a ripple effect of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

High-profile clubs have lined up for the signature of Rudiger with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona all queueing up for the former Roma defender.

But it appears Real Madrid has stolen a march on the aforementioned clubs, with the Los Blancos reportedly agreeing to personal terms with Antonio Rudiger, whose contract with Chelsea expires in the summer.

Real Madrid agree personal terms with Chelsea defender Rudiger

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid has reportedly agreed on personal terms with Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger over a potential summer move.

Rudiger is set to quit the Stamford Bridge after he failed to sign an extension with the club.

Quite a number of top European clubs are on the trail of the 29-year-old defender who has really stepped up his game in the last year.
