Barcelona has hit a roadblock in their bid to convince club veteran, Gerard Pique to take a massive pay cut to help the Catalans register all its new players.

The decision has now angered the Barcelona veteran and he has decided to halt the discussions with the Catalan giants about reducing his salary, which would help the club generate more funds.

The 4th lever deal brought in an investment of around €100 million that was crucial to helping Barcelona register six stars, including Robert Lewandowski and Dembele, prior to the Rayo Vallecano clash.

Barcelona want £21m for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Meanwhile, Barcelona will be willing to sell Gabon striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang if the price is right, as Chelsea has shown interest in the forward.

According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona has told Chelsea they want £21million for the 33-year-old striker just seven months after signing him on a free transfer.

Chelsea is preparing to make an offer for Aubameyang this week, but for a lot less after conversations with the LaLiga giants over the weekend.

Gerard Pique agrees to take massive paycut

Earlier, Sports Brief reported Gerard Pique has taken some huge personal costs to help Barcelona register its new players following the Catalans financial crisis.

Barcelona has brought in Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha, Jules Kounde, Frank Kessie, and Andreas Christensen while they also renewed the contract of Ousmane Dembele.

The Spanish giants have however, failed to register any of these players for the upcoming season after failing to meet La Liga’s regulations due to their financial troubles.
