Barcelona has officially confirmed the signing of Robert Lewandowski from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich after both clubs agreed to a deal for the 33-year-old forward.

Lewandowski joins the Catalan giants after penning a four-year contract with the Blaugrana after they paid a transfer fee of €45m plus €5m in variables.

According to Football Espana, Barcelona has inserted a release clause of €500m in the contract of the Polish forward who has since joined the rest of his new teammates in the USA for their preseason tour.

The 33-year-old had fallen out with Bayern Munich officials towards the end of the 2021/22 season and asked for a move away from the Bundesliga champions.

Rebert Lewandowski now joins an all-star Barcelona forwardline that includes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyand, Ousmane Dembele, Memphis Depay, and Raphinha.

Meanwhile, Robert Lewandowski has been hailed by the Bundesliga after the striker completed his move to Barcelona from Bayern Munich.

The German league body reeled out the records of the Poland striker in the Bundesliga on their social media page in a mark of respect for the 33-year-old forward.

Robert Lewandowski won 10 Bundesliga titles with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich while playing in the German top division and was also the league’s foreign scorer of all time.
